ABOUT  US

Like many other people who have chosen the Boxer as their life's companion, I grew up with a Boxer as part of our family and when as an adult I went in search of a dog of my own, it was again a Boxer.  Penney was a good and patient friend. She hunted with my husband, herded cattle with my boss and saved my life from a faulty furnace. She was the mother of my first litter and it was with her daughter, Susie, that I first developed an interest in showing.

I purchased my first foundation bitch from Dawnetta Field in 1982, New Dawn's Hot Tip (Babe). She was a beautiful bitch, pointed, and had placed at ABC, but did not finish.  She produced only 1 puppy, Greenfield American Dreamer (my sweet and irrepressible boy, Jamie).

My second foundation bitch came from Dr. Robert Burke and Vivian Plummer in 1984. This was Marquam Hill Nadra of Lynnrod. Nadra was from the last litter of Traper's dam, CH TuRo's Whisper of Five T's, DOM. She was bred first to CH  TuRo's Empire, SOM and from that breeding produced Japanese CH Greenfield's Backtalk and major-pointed dogs Savoye's Warlock Shane of TuRo (sire of champions) and TuRo's Banner.  For Nadra's second litter, we bred her to her half-brother, CH Marquam Hill's Traper of TuRo, SOM. This produced an all plain litter of 3 males and 1 bitch, Greenfield's What Luck (Talia).

By breeding Jamie, who was tightly linebred Arriba, with the beautiful Arriba/Flintwood headpieces behind him, to Talia, who was tightly linebred TuRo, with size and elegance, we produced our first American champion, CH Greenfield's Dream N Be Lucky (Jasmine) and our first ABC class winner, Greenfield's Make A Wish (Twinkle).

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to lease Bayview California Dreamin, a litter sister to CH Bayview Strides Ahead, SOM.  Her daughters and granddaughters are producing some wonderful dogs for us, including CH Greenfield's Politically Incorrect (Houston).

Jasmine was the dam of Am/Jap/FCI CH Greenfield's Dreams N Schemes, UKC CH Greenfield's Search For Gold (AKC 12 points - 1 major) and Dreamboat's Golden Vanity (14 points - 1 major).
